MHA interior graphics and signage case study in Birmingham City Centre, delivering a bold branded environment across a 6,960 sq ft office space

MHA worked with Motive Graphics to deliver interior graphics and signage across their new 6,960 sq ft ground floor office in Birmingham city centre, including a 20 metre wide wallpaper, acrylic signage, Foamex lettering, cut vinyl and frosted glass. As an established graphics partner across multiple MHA sites, Motive Graphics managed the full process including site surveys, artwork coordination, contractor liaison with Claremont, risk assessments and installation.

Making their mark in Birmingham

MHA’s new Birmingham city centre office was a blank canvas and a real opportunity to create something special. The 6,960 sq ft ground floor space included meeting rooms, office areas, walkways and kitchen spaces, all needing graphics that reflected the Birmingham location while staying true to MHA’s brand across all their sites.

As their graphics partner across multiple sites, we knew exactly what was needed.

Building on a strong relationship

MHA came to the project with a clear vision. Having worked with them across multiple sites, we already knew their brand and brand guidelines inside out, which meant we could focus our energy on getting the details right and managing everything around them, rather than getting up to speed.

We were in direct contact with main contractor Claremont throughout, handling installation dates, access requirements and deliveries, so MHA didn’t have to. At the same time, we worked directly with MHA on all artwork, design, materials and branding requirements.

This included completing all risk assessments and method statements, ensuring the correct equipment was in place, and working to a strict four-point PPE policy throughout.

Every graphic, on brand

The project followed a process we’ve refined across all of our MHA sites. We carried out detailed site surveys, taking precise measurements and notes that were shared with MHA’s marketing team and passed to their graphic designer to develop the artwork. Designs were reviewed and signed off internally before production was finalised and installation booked to meet Claremont’s site handover deadline.

We use similar elements across all of their sites to maintain consistency, and MHA’s marketing team is now developing a wider signage proposal that can be rolled out to other locations, making repeat orders straightforward.

Wall graphics, signage and wayfinding

This included a large-scale wallpaper measuring 20 metres wide by 4.5 metres high in the main office, alongside acrylic signage, foamex lettering, cut vinyl and frosted glass. All graphics followed MHA’s cityscape theme, using local landmarks as inspiration while staying firmly on brand. The wallpaper has become the focal point of the space and one of the client’s favourite features.

The finished space

The result is a bold, cohesive interior that reflects both MHA’s brand and its Birmingham location, delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to the wider fit-out programme.
